Module 1: Wetlands Ecosystems Characteristics and Services in the Nile Basin

The goal of this module is to introduce participants to the basic characteristics of wetlands and ecosystem services obtained from these ecosystems.
To have an improved understanding of the Nile Basin wetlands and enhance the capacity of wetland assessment in the Basin for better management
Clarify the main tools and methods of mainstreaming the value of wetlands ecosystems and the services they provide into policy decision-making regarding conserving, managing, and enhancing the natural environment.
